Application Instructions:
Eave Underlayment
Weather Watch waterproof underlayment is applied directly to
the roof deck and over the eave drip edge. Cut the roll
into 18ft. piece and reroll. Remove 2-3 feet of release paper
and align the edge of the membrane, sticky side down, so it
overhangs the drip edge by 1/4". Nail along the upper edge of
the sheet every 18". Along the eave edge use a hand roller to
press into place and use hand pressure to adhere the rest of
the membrane. Continue to peel release paper and press membrane
as you move across the roof. If additional courses are required
to reach a point 2 feet inside the interior wall line, the top
lap must be at least 6" and hand rolled for good adhesion. End
laps must also be 6", hand rolled and nailed.
Deck Preparation
New Construction: Sweep dirt, debris and loose nails
from deck. Reroofing: After removing all shingles,
roofing felts and nails from the area to be covered with
Weather Watch ice and water barrier, replace water damaged
sheathing and sweep area thoroughly. Primer: Asphalt
Primer is NOT required for attachment to wood and metal.
